What a household using a typical amount of gas and electricity would pay over a year at capped rates, paying by direct debit, including VAT. Great Britain only: Northern Ireland has a separate energy market and no price cap. This caps unit rates and standing charges, NOT your bill, so using more than typical costs more than this figure. Typical use is Ofgem's own benchmark household and is revised from time to time.
